WesTrac is celebrating 20 years of service and support in NSW and the Australian Capital Territory, with more than 16,000 Cat machines delivered during this time.

When WesTrac became the official Cat dealer for NSW and the Australian Capital Territory, work began immediately on fitting out the first purpose-built branch in Bathurst, NSW.

Today, there are 18 WesTrac branches across NSW and the Australian Capital Territory, six click and collect lockers and more than 1500 staff members providing services to more than 6500 customers a year.

WesTrac NSW and Australian Capital Territory chief executive Adrian Howard commented on the milestone.

“From when the first Cat tractors arrived in Sydney almost a century ago, products manufactured by Caterpillar have played a pivotal part in the growth of our cities, regions and driving Australia’s exports ever since,” he said.

“Over the past two decades, WesTrac has been at the forefront of delivering Cat machines and products to meet rising demand, especially within the construction and mining industries.”

During these 20 years, WesTrac has shifted its focus to emerging technologies and sustainability.

“Over the past 20 years, our customers needs have changed and demands on business operations have increased with the rapid uptake of technology and rise in 24/7 working environments,” Mr Howard said.

“We’ve come a long wat since 2004 and change is only going to keep occurring faster – our goal is to stay at the forefront of technology and innovation to ensure our customers continue to succeed from owning and operating Cat equipment.”
