The Varley specialised vehicles division has been associated with the emergency services sector for more than 13 years, successfully completing a variety of projects for customers across Australia. This exposure and experiencehas enabled Varley to develop innovative designs and an experienced skills base, which is able to meet all aspects ofcustomers’ technical and operation requirements, as well as their expected
outcomes.
The manufacturing facilities located in Queensland, Victoria and NSW employ modern and lean manufacturing techniques to build both custom, one-off specialised units and high volume production runs. Varley has extensive experience in supplying fire and rescue appliances, ambulances and a range of road rail shunters to the mining and industrial sectors.
The company has recently delivered specialised vehicles to a number of Queensland-based mines. These include an Isuzu FTS 4×4 fire and rescue appliance with pump and roll capability, a 4×4 first response unit and a 4×4 Landcruiser troop carrier ambulance.
A similar range of vehicles currently in production will also be delivered to mines and LNG plants in 2012. Varley has also recently expanded its customer base, by being awarded a contract to supply the WA Health Department with 4×4 rural ambulances. Varley believes its products are of the highest quality in the market and believe its customers would support this claim.
