AS specialised vehicle company McLaren Hire celebrates continued strong growth, it has announced its name change to McLaren’s Raw Hire. The company began business 14 years ago with only one vehicle; it
now has a fleet of 1000 vehicles and is a preferred supplier for short-term vehicle hire for resource giant Chevron. Raw Hire director Sean Clarke said the company had experienced sustained and rapid growth and there were no signs of slowing down. “Every year, McLaren’s Raw Hire has consistently doubled its fleet,” he said.
“We’ve gone from renting a single vehicle from a caravan park in Karratha, to running two north-west branches, an airport facility and a corporate office in Perth.
“This year will see us open additional branches to expand our service to a broader Western Australian population,” Mr Clarke said. McLaren’s commitment to providing specialised vehicle hire to WA’s resource and commercial sectors has seen the company win a stream of awards and contracts.
The company will soon be increasing its involvement with the Gorgon project on Barrow Island having recently won the contract to supply vehicle hire to the CB&I and Kentz joint venture.
The wholly WA-owned and operated business was founded in 1998 by husband-and-wife directors Sean and Lisa Clarke.
