QUEENSLAND-based Matilda Equipment has built a reputation for supplying high quality, late model, low hour, heavy earthmoving equipment to Australia’s mining and civil construction sectors on a dry hire basis. Since inception, it has maintained a 100 per cent accident free record.
The company has forged relationships with many of Australia’s leading miners and contractors operating throughout WA’s Pilbara region, the Northern Territory, Queensland, NSW and recently
South Australia.
With demand for heavy equipment at an all time high, Matilda is well place to be able to fulfil its clients’ needs. It has almost 100 machines in its fleet, with the majority of machines comprising
Caterpillar D11T and D10T dozers. The equipment rental fleet also includes Caterpillar graders, loaders, compactors and water trucks, Hitachi excavators, and several service trucks.
Specialising in dry hire, Matilda has a small, focussed team that provides support and assists work site managers in maintaining a high level of efficiency and low cost production.
The added product support supplied by Matlida has been integral to the company’s growth and strong financial position.
Managing director Dan Jauncey established the company in 1999 just outside of Toowoomba. Recently, following a request from his six-year-old daughter and also recognising an opportunity to
raise money for charity, Mr Jauncey painted three of his machines pink. Two of the three pink machines are now utilised in Port Hedland, with the third, a CAT dozer, at work on coal mine in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. For each pink machine, Mr Jauncey has made a donation to the Pink Ribbon Foundation for breast cancer research.
