More than two decades of air travel in outback Australia

FOR more than 20 years, regional airline Skytrans has serviced Australia’s remote and rural areas. The company provides contract, charter and Regular Passenger Transport air services with its fleet of 14 Dash 8 aircraft. The Dash 8 is well regarded for its short field take off and landing capabilities and this, coupled with low pressure optional tyres, allows operation on both sealed and unsealed airstrips without compromising safety or comfort.

The company operates scheduled services to more than 23 ports in Queensland, including direct flights between Cairns and Mount Isa on weekdays. Flexibility is provided with daily flights to regional Queensland communities, and charter services to remote and rural areas of the state. Skytrans also offers extensive charter services throughout Australia and the South-West Pacific from its bases in Cairns, Darwin, Brisbane and Perth.
