The design and layout of Bass’s switch rooms is such that they can be split lengthwise, enabling uncomplicated transportation by road or rail. Switch rooms are built to each customer’s individual specifications; for example, a recent switch room built for a coal mine was installed onto an elevated 20m platform. Bass employs specialist teams trained and certified in hazardous area design, installation and inspection.
Engineering and automation services are delivered by a large engineering team that specialises in power and control system design, programmable logic control and supervisory control and data acquisition programming and commissioning services.
