At unreserved public auctions in Brisbane and Geelong in June, Ritchie Bros sold a combined total of more than $61 million worth of heavy equipment and trucks, including a 2007 Caterpillar D9T crawler tractor sold for $640,000 to a buyer from South Australia; two Volvo A25F 6×6 articulated dump trucks sold for $310,000 each to a buyer from Japan; and a 2007 Caterpillar 775F rock truck sold for $600,000 to a buyer from WA.
The two auctions attracted buyers from as far away as Fiji, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Ireland and the US. Ritchie Bros has a huge US mining and earthmoving equipment auction coming up in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, on September 27 that will also be simulcast in Las Vegas following MINExpo.
