Gold Hydrogen (ASX:GHY) has secured drilling and services contracts with SLB and Savanna Energy Services for its flagship Ramsay project in South Australia.

International drilling contractor Savanna Energy will provide drilling services for Gold Hydrogen’s first exploration well at Ramsay which is designed to replicate the results of the historic Ramsay Oil Bore 1 which encountered natural hydrogen of up to 89% purity.

Gold Hydrogen believes that Savanna’s minimal disturbance style of drilling will mitigate any disruptions and impacts within the local community.

SLB will provide their specialist services — which includes geological services, mud logging, wireline services and cementing services — for the well.

This partnership builds on the geological support Gold Hydrogen has received from SLB over the past two years.

Gold Hydrogen has submitted the required approvals to the Department of Energy and Mines and the review is progressing well with approvals expected to be issued in September.

Additionally, a number of multi-year land access arrangements have been agreed to, providing Gold Hydrogen with a range of locations for its initial exploration well and options for subsequent wells.

This enables Gold Hydrogen to deliver its objective of twinning the original well as its initial exploration well will be located adjacent to the historic well.

A location for a second well has been scouted with land access approvals now in place.

Contracts for other affiliated services will be awarded in the coming weeks.
