REGISTERED as a Proprietary Limited company in 2004, Lime Systems Bulk Storage Solutions supplies materials processing and storage facilities to the mining industry for the safe storage and accurate metering of products in process.
Wholly Australian owned and operated from its headquarters in Welshpool, WA, Lime Systems’ primary objective is the design, manufacture and supply of complete systems and components catering for the receival, storage and metered recovery to processing of a wide range of dry powdered bulk materials. Catering to a range of industries needing to handle bulk materials, Lime Systems specialises in the handling and processing of lime products and their conversion to milk-of-lime, either via the slaking of quicklime or the mixing of hydrated lime into a solution.
The company represents TBMA Europe bv, a supplier of bulk materials handling equipment from the Netherlands. TBMA manufactures high-quality rotary valves, blowing seals and bulk bag handling equipment. Lime Systems has been utilising TBMA’s bulk bag breaking equipment and dense phase transfer systems on its projects for more than six years. Lime Systems recently provided Cobar
Consolidated Resources with a hydrated lime storage, mixing and delivery system to be commissioned at the miner’s Wonawinta silver project.
The system includes a 40-tonne storage silo which will receive hydrate delivery from pressurised road tankers. The silo will be fitted with a suitably-sized vibratory bin activator to ensure positive discharge of
hydrate on demand. The product will exit the activator discharge and pass into the downstream feeding and metering equipment for final delivery into the mixing tank prior to being delivered via pumps to a ring main for further delivery into processing. Other projects recently completed by the company include: the supply of packaged roller ball mills to Roadtek in Queensland for use in a water treatment plant; the supply of products to GR Engineering Services for use by Allied Gold at its Solomon Islands gold project; and work for Lihir Gold, now Newcrest, at the Lihir gold project.
Lime Systems handles anything from small, individual proprietary pieces of equipment to full turnkey systems designed to meet specific requirements, which are available for purchase or lease.
