WITH more than 50 years of experience in the development of peristaltic pumps, tube and hose pumps, sine pumps, and liquid filling and OEM pumps, Watson-Marlow Pumps Group is a leader in the industry. The company’s offerings include the latest advances in peristaltic pumps and metering pumps, complete with the Profibus control system, plus re-engineered Bredel heavy-duty hose pumps for high slurry
flows.
The Profibus control system allows for real-time communication between mine site operations and pumps, with easy installation, no complex wiring and reduced hardware and engineering costs. The system is available on 500 Series pumps for flows of up to 3.5 litres per minute, 600 Series pumps with flows up to 18l/min, and the 700 series with flows of up to 33l/min. Pumps are IP66 rated, for operation in challenging environments, and constructed with tough corrosion resistant housings. Watson-Marlow’s cased drive pumps have extraordinary levels of functionality, with on-screen menus, large high visibility displays, tactile membrane keypads, and LoadSure elements cutting maintenance time to less than a minute.
The new Bredel re-engineered duplex pumps offer improved durability, quick and simple in-situ maintenance, simplicity of operation and lower investment cost. The twin-head design easily transfers concentrated slurries and can handle flow rates of up to 80,000 litres per hour at up to 16 bar.
The pumps’ advantages include reduced pulsation and superior durability compared to other simplex peristaltic pumps available on the market. They are customised for each application, with thousands of Bredel pumps now installed on mine sites throughout Australia. Further information is available on the Watson-Marlow website.
