SET on top of the hill overlooking the tranquil waters of the Swan River in East Fremantle is the Tradewinds Hotel – a popular choice for punters to drop in for a drink and a bite to eat.

The family-friendly venue is open day and night for a casual coffee, lunch or dinner.

There is also a shaded outdoor dining area so visitors can make the most of the summer weather.

When it comes to food at the Tradewinds, you are spoilt for choice.

Aside from the classic best sellers like Caesar salad, fish and chips and steak sandwiches, there is also a selection of meals to share – a choice of two share plates includes a vegetarian option, pizzas, freshwater barramundi spring rolls, and Spanish chorizo sausage rolls.

The beetroot salad and the field mushroom bruschetta are two examples of the menu’s flavoursome and healthy food.

The sharing range is priced from $12 to $29, and the mains from $22 to $40. The five gourmet pizza options cost around $20 each.

For those that fancy a tipple the Tradewinds have a great choice of local premium beers, ciders and imported beers on tap, while wine lovers are sure to find something to excite their palate in the selection of popular and premium wines. The bar is open seven days a week from 11am.

The Tradewinds is popular for private functions and has a range of venue options available to cater to the occasion: from alfresco dining to private rooms.

They can cater to groups from 15 to 160 people.

The hotel has accommodation that is ideal for those wanting to relax and unwind or perhaps celebrate a special occasion.

Located just 30 minutes from Perth, it is in a great location for work or pleasure. The Tradewinds has both rooms and short-stay apartments available.

Stop by, unwind and take in the idyllic view of the Indian Ocean just beyond Fremantle harbour.
