Lifting is a dangerous game and equipment is nothing to play with. It is serious gear that has fatal consequences if not used correctly.

Founded in 1998 as Allan Marketing Group, Titan Lifting Technologies has since grown into an industry leader in lifting & rigging equipment with a strong focus on quality control.

With a diverse range of Australian and International Standards-compliant designed and imported lifting gear, Titan can support any project in any industry — no matter how tough.

The lifting equipment specialist is trusted by a range of different industries, from mining to everyday construction, by major companies including Rio Tinto, BHP, BlueScope, McConnell Dowell and Essential Energy.

Titan lifting Technologies founder and managing director Ian Allan says a commitment to providing more than just consumables is at the centre of the company.

“The lifting gear that we provide is all very high-end technical gear that is designed to last for a long time with safety as the major driver,” he said.

“Our products are thriving across all sectors and have been used in events such as Cirque-du-Soleil, to lifting two-tonne road barriers and providing the heavy-duty shackles needed for major lifting in construction across the renewables, mining and infrastructure sectors.”

Compliance is only the tip of the iceberg at Titan.

At the head of Titan’s lifting equipment is the extensive range of precision hoisting and lifting equipment that it designs and develops using its more than 50 years of industry experience.

Marketed under Titan Lifting and AMG brand names, the products include everything from hoists to G80 and G100 chains and fitting to rigging hardware and weighing systems.

On top of its own designing and manufacturing of lifting technologies, Titan has also made moves to ensure it remains the number one choice for industry by supplying an extensive range of renowned global brands.

At its base in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, Titan operates two warehouses — one entirely dedicated to incoming stock and the other to outgoing stock.

Titan’s chief operating officer John Di Michele says though much of the company’s equipment is manufactured overseas, Titan works hard to ensure the product reaches the highest of standards before entering the market.

“The lifting industry is strongly safety-oriented and the products we supply have to perform how they are meant to perform and also in an efficient way,” he said.

When a product initially arrives at its facilities, Titan quarantines the shipment at its incoming warehouse until it is comprehensively tested and inspected. This ensures any product entering the market through Titan will do exactly what it claims it will.

“The products arrive here with manufacturer test certificates along with material and heat treatment certifications, all the things we require to make us confident that they’ve done it right,” Ian said.

“To be even more certain, we conduct our own extensive testing. Nothing goes out the door until its tested by us.”

With high quality control standards and a list of well-designed and innovative products, Titan products are widespread across Australia and globally.
