Bravus Mining groundwater research celebrated internationally

Years of scientific work to better understand ancient springs in outback Queensland has paid off for local researchers who will take their findings to the world stage at a prestigious conference in Davos, Switzerland. Dr Richard Cresswell and Anne Gibson from Eco Logical Australia will present at the upcoming International Association of Hydrogeologists World Groundwater Congress in September. The research focuses on the Doongmabulla Springs Complex, which lies more than 11km away from Bravus Mining and Resources Carmichael mine near Clermont in Central Queensland. Renascor Resources (ASX: RNU) has begun an early contractor involvement (ECI) process with two engineering and construction firms for its proposed Siviour Mine and Concentrator in South Australia. The contracts are with GR Engineering Services and Primero Group. The ECI process will focus on the progression of engineering and maturation of the design of the minerals processing plant and non-processing infrastructure for the upstream portion of Renascor’s planned vertically integrated battery anode material graphite mine and manufacturing operation (BAM project). New work will build on work already undertaken as part of the definitive feasibility-level battery anode material study and will include process design improvements. Fingerboards project receives new lease on life

The Victoria Resources Regulator has renewed two retention licences held by Gippsland Critical Minerals at the Fingerboards mineral sands project. As part of this renewal, the regulator has placed strict conditions on Gippsland with the company to seek a Victorian Government determination on the future requirements of the Environmental Effects Statement, following the project’s failure to gain approval in 2021. Other milestones and performance requirements include thorough engagement with the community and Traditional Owners, climate modelling, environmental baseline monitoring and rehabilitation trials. Failing to deliver these milestones could lead to the cancellation of the licences.
