BY AMY BLOM   MAMMOTH gold specimens found at RNC’s Beta Hunt mine in WA Goldfields could be among the largest ever discovered, with the potential to turn the miner’s fortunes around.   The Toronto-based company recently announced 9250 ounces of high-grade gold had been produced from a single cut about 500 metres underground over one week. The high-grade gold included about 190 kilograms of specimen stone, the largest of which was 95kg with an estimated gold content of 2440oz. Rio Tinto ships 4bt of iron ore to China Rio Tinto (ASX: RIO) has celebrated the shipment of 4bt of iron ore from WA’s Pilbara to China, a milestone reached 51 years after the first shipment. Over more than 50 years, China has become Rio’s largest customer with around 250mt of iron ore shipped there every year. The 4bt of iron ore shipped is enough to produce the steel needed for around 45,000 Sydney Harbour Bridges or more than 23,000 Beijing National Stadiums. WA Government launches new anti-harassment programs The WA Government has launched two programs as part of a strategy to create safer workplaces and drive cultural change within Western Australia’s resources sector. The SPEAK UP, REPORT IT campaign will reinforce the message that harassment and bullying in the resources sector in unacceptable. It will remind senior executives, mine operators and workers of their responsibility to report workplace sexual harassment and other inappropriate behaviours towards women to WorkSafe. WorkSafe’s 24/7 hotline, where callers can remain anonymous, has been bolstered for victims and bystanders of workplace harassment or bullying. $250m deal to supercharge renewables in the Northern Territory The Federal and Northern Territory governments have signed a $250m deal as part of the Rewiring the Nation Program. Through the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, the funds will create hundreds of new jobs and see the power grid upgraded and expanded across the Territory, supporting major transmission projects and bolstering grid strength.
