Freight forwarding and logistics in mining is complex, compounded by tight timeframes, remote operations and high-value assets.
Founded in 2016, Prime Global Logistics is this year celebrating a decade of growth from a one-person consultancy with a vision to optimise the customer experience to a leading Australian global logistics partner — trusted to support complex mining supply chains across Australia, Asia and beyond.
Managing Director Mundi Puvanendran founded Prime Global Logistics after experiencing first-hand the limitations of conventional logistics models that prioritised processes over client outcomes.
“At the time, I found myself advising my own logistics provider on more efficient and cost-effective freight routes,” Mundi said.
“It became clear that the industry was locked into convention. Prime Global Logistics was built on the belief that logistics should work around the client, not the other way around.”
That client-first, problem-solving mindset has been the driving force behind the company’s rapid growth to a team of 27 employees operating across Australia and Vietnam, with further expansion into the US planned this year.
Diverse exposure
Prime Global Logistics’ portfolio of major projects reflects its capability to deliver at scale, including Yangibana Rare Earth Project, Hope Downs1 Sustaining Project, Cockburn Mineral Sands Grants Lithium Project, Bald Hill Lithium and Tantalum Mine Expansion and the Pilgangoora Lithium Project.
In December 2025, Prime Global Logistics was appointed logistics management partner for Green Steel of WA’s, Collie green steel mill — a significant partnership supporting Australia’s transition to low-emission manufacturing. Working collaboratively, Prime Global has spent the past 12 months designing an ultra-efficient national logistics strategy to support construction, equipment supply, scrap flows and finished product distribution.
Prime Global Logistics’ recent growth has also included the appointment as third party logistics (3PL) partner for Techking Australia, supporting warehousing, fulfilment and national distribution of specialised tyre products from its Perth facility. This partnership adds to the growing roster of global clients who trust the business to deliver efficiency and reliability across supply chains.
Providing clients with a global reach while maintaining a local touch remains the core differentiator for Prime Global, with specialised teams on the ground in Perth, Brisbane and Ho Chi Minh City, backed by extensive worldwide networks.
Community
Alongside commercial growth, Prime Global Logistics has maintained a commitment to community impact. Since 2021, the company’s annual Charity Golf Day has raised more than $300,000 for Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation and Hero Hunter Foundation, supporting sick children and their families. Prime Global are also proud to financially support the Perron Institute, a leader in delivering research to the international community on a broad spectrum of neurological conditions.
Facing the future
Looking ahead, Prime Global Logistics is positioned for continued expansion, with plans to scale its operations and partnerships globally.
“Reaching 10 years is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of,” Mundi said.
“But it’s also a moment to recognise our clients, partners and team — and to keep pushing forward. The opportunities ahead are bigger than ever, and we’re just getting started.”
Underpinned by a ‘can-do’ mindset, Prime Global Logistics continues to build long-term partnerships through integrity and collaboration with clients and contractors.
