Indigie Resource Group is a proudly Indigenous-owned and family-operated business delivering workforce solutions and project support across the mining, civil and infrastructure sectors throughout Australia.
Founded in 2019 by Travis “Thommo” Thompson, the business has grown from a small home-based operation into a trusted industry partner with a strong presence across WA and the east coast.
Thommo, a proud First Nations man of Wardandi Noongar heritage with cultural ties to the Banjima and Yamatji people, built the company with pure determination and a commitment to community.
Thommo’s career began at just 15 years old in Queensland, with John Young (Main Roads QLD) for the Daintree Cape Tribulation Major Road Works. With no formal qualifications, he worked his way up through sheer dedication and hands-on experience, eventually becoming a final trim operator. This early exposure laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong career in the resources and civil sectors.
Today, Indigie Resource Group is recognised for its reliability, quality delivery and strong client relationships, including with major contractors such as CPB Contractors, Georgiou Group, Laing O’Rourke and Sedgeman.
“Indigie Resource Group was built from the ground up with a focus on people, culture and opportunity,” Thommo said.
“Our goal has always been to create pathways for our workforce while delivering real value to our clients.”
The company’s key strength lies in its people-first approach — valuing every employee as an individual. This underpins the company’s ability to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes for clients.
For mining clients, this means access to skilled, reliable personnel who can be mobilised efficiently to meet project demands, ensuring continuity, productivity and reduced downtime on site.
