Trusted WA civil contractors

Trusted WA civil contractors

Project delivery in remote environments has long been defined by complexity. Operators are required to coordinate multiple subcontractors across vast distances and maintain safety compliance in some of the country’s harshest conditions.

Doolee is a multi-disciplinary civil construction and infrastructure contractor that combines its service offering in-house to maximise clients’ budgets in a more streamlined and cost-effective way. The company was founded on Pilbara and Goldfields sites, not adapted to them.

Established in 2014 by Eanna Doolin and Francis Lee, the company has since grown into a fully self-performing, end-to-end project partner backed by an owned-and-operated heavy plant fleet, providing direct control over project timelines, cost and quality.

By working with one team for a project’s entirety, clients’ get peace of mind that every individual element is being handled by a trusted team. Need more confidence? Doolee’s success is underpinned by a triple-certified management system, ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and ISO 45001 (OH&S), and is a PCCP-prequalified contractor with discipline-specific ITPs and JSEAs.

With established regional hubs that allow rapid mobilisation to remote sites, Doolee has demonstrated capability with tier-one operators across Australia in the mining, energy and renewables, infrastructure, government, defence and waste and water sectors.

Specialised integrated mining services

Doolee’s integrated service offering ensures every project is not only built on a solid foundation but is seamlessly coordinated at every step. Operating as a one-stop-shop, Doolee routinely deploys multiple divisions together on resource-sector projects to provide comprehensive end-to-end solutions.

In practical terms, this means clients can engage Doolee as a sole contractor to take a site from initial earthworks through to commissioning and then retain the same crew for shutdowns and sustaining works — under a single QHSE management system.

Civil construction and earthworks

Doolee has extensive experience in civil construction and infrastructure development, utilising its extensive plant hire fleet to maintain full control over project timelines.

From site preparation, haul roads and access tracks, pads, foundations, bulk earthworks, trenching and underground services, tailings and pond construction, rehabilitation and capping, the team at Doolee always deliver high-quality services on every site.

While the Doolee team are full scope specialists, they also understand that sometimes you just need to get a single job done now. To accommodate all client requests, Doolee also provides one-off project solutions for individual pieces of work to help keep clients timeline on schedule.

Building and structures

With more than 75 years of combined expertise in the industry, Doolee is experienced at all facets of building construction. From design and foundations, to construction, fit out and handover, Doolee undertakes the entire process from start to finish.

Whether it be non-process infrastructure, workshops, warehousing, accommodation or operational buildings, Doolee delivers a diverse range of structural and infrastructure solutions.

Dewatering

Backed by experienced crews familiar with WA mine site conditions, Doolee supports complex dewatering projects with services including polywelded HDPE pipework installation for long-range pipeline installations and site water management.

Where mine sites need pipework from 63mm through to 1000mm, Doolee’s RIMO and H1000 welding capability handles the largest poly pipe runs in WA without sub-contracting the fabrication.

Doolee has successfully delivered runs of 20km and beyond for dewatering, transfer and site water management using qualified poly welding crews and field-proven jointing procedures.

SMP, electrical and instrumentation

Doolee delivers a full scope of structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation (SMPEI) works, wherever your sites are located. Whether they’re greenfield or brownfield environments, metro or remote, the company can deliver structural, mechanical and piping packages, as well as E&I works supporting plant builds, conveyors and crushing circuits.

Asset management

Management of infrastructure assets has a huge impact on the effective delivery of projects. Doolee provide end-to-end asset management solutions, from maintenance and shutdowns to ongoing operational maintenance, maximising the value and capabilities of sites by utilising the full operational capacity and lifespan of assets.

Remote concrete supply and batching

Doolee provides a remote concrete supply and batching solution for projects of all sizes. Working on a per-project basis, its experienced team creates specific NATA-approved mix designs to meet infrastructure needs.

The company’s mobile concrete batch plant eliminates the problem of finding the nearest concrete plant to the relevant site. Mobilising and deploying quickly and efficiently, Doolee removes the supply-distance constraint that typically dictates the schedule for remote concrete pours.

Deployed via the company’s mobile batch plant and supported by an in-house fleet of agitator trucks, Doolee’s concrete services eliminates dependency on metro suppliers for remote pours and gives the project direct control over slump, set times and supplementary cementitious materials.

The Doolee difference

Doolee have supported the HLRI and their Annual Breaths and Beats charity cycle for the past two years as a means to support the people that have supported Doolee Director Francis Lee on his heart health journey.

Doolee organised a Breaths and Beats Golf Day and raised over $100k for research, which is now held as an annual event taking place again this year on October 27. The Breaths and Beats Cycle will also take place on November 1, reach out to bookings@doolee.com.au to get involved and support the HRLI WA.

Doolee is one of the few WA-based contractors that can self-perform an entire mining project — civils, concrete, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and ongoing maintenance — under a single ISO-certified system. That delivers schedule certainty, fewer interfaces and fewer crews on site without giving up technical depth.
