Integrated security for the connected mine
As Australia’s mining industry becomes increasingly automated, connected and remotely operated, the way sites approach security is changing. Traditional, manually operated access points are no longer enough for complex operations where people, vehicles and autonomous equipment must move safely through large and often remote environments.

A practical example is a major iron ore mine in WA’s Pilbara region, where SEME Solutions designed, manufactured and installed 29 portable solar-powered boom gate skids. Integrated with Gallagher access control and connected to the client’s Perth command centre, the system enabled remote management of autonomous truck access while restricting entry to critical operational areas.
By reducing reliance on manual access-control processes and enabling remote oversight, integrated systems can give operators greater operational visibility while helping protect people, assets and critical infrastructure.
No two mining operations are the same.
