
Round Oak Minerals: doing the rounds
THE ambitious diversification and rebranding of CopperChem to Round Oak has been no small task. The unlisted subsidiary of Washington H. Soul Pattinson and Company (WHSP) is in the process of establishing itself as an emerging base and precious metals producer, off the back of a series of acquisitions that have expanded its interests past its copper-producing roots to include zinc and gold. In the Past 12 months, the company’s portfolio has grown to include the Jaguar copper-zinc operation in WA, Cloncurry and White Dam gold operations in Queensland and South Australia respectively, and the Stockman and Barbara projects in Victoria and Queensland.
