Liebherr-Australia celebrated its new partnership with Mineco — an Australian-based mining services provide — with the handing over of a brand-new R 9150 excavator set to go to work at Mount Arthur coal mine in NSW.

The commissioning of this excavator highlights Liebherr-Australia’s continued growth in the 150-tonne class mining segment in Australia and reinforces the company’s commitment to providing innovative and efficient solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the Australian mining industry.

Liebherr-Australia’s Mount Thorley branch will provide Mineco and its new excavator with comprehensive support, ensuring optimal performance and reliability on site.

In recent years, Mineco has grown and expanded its business so that it now has the capacity to provide solutions to its customers that require mining equipment in the 150-tonne class.

Mineco director Steven Arthur says that it was Liebherr-Australia’s reputation for providing high-quality products and comprehensive local support as key factors in the company’s decision to install Liebherr equipment in its mining fleet.

“Purchasing the R 9150 for Mineco was an easy decision, driven by our commitment to reliability, efficiency and the future growth of our business,” he said.

“Liebherr’s equipment is top-class in the industry, empowering Mineco to take on challenging projects with confidence.”

Liebherr-Australia key account manager Daniel Simone says he is excited for what this new partnership and the delivery of this R 9150 means for Liebherr-Australia moving forward.

“We are thrilled to see Mineco invest in Liebherr and look forward to supporting their operations with reliable equipment and expert service from our Mount Thorley branch,” he said.

“This commissioning underscores our position in the smaller class mining segment, and we’re excited about what’s ahead for this partnership in the Hunter Valley.”

The new R 9150 will be backed by Liebherr-Australia’s Mount Thorley branch, which is strategically located to provide prompt and effective support for mining operations in the Hunter Valley.
