With a fleet of modern Airbus A319 and A320’s, the airline now covers frequent routes from Perth, WA and Brisbane, Queensland to various MinRes sites including Ken’s Bore iron ore mine and the Wodgina lithium operation.

With its own dedicated terminal at Perth Airport, employees benefit from a smooth, rapid transition from arrival to boarding — a process that minimises delays and maximises convenience.

MinRes Air planes have up to 25cm more legroom compared to standard aircraft as well as well as an in-house cabin crew to ensure comfort and convenience for travellers.

MinRes Air chief executive Graeme Taylor has more than 30 years of global aviation industry experience working with some of the world’s premier airlines.

“There’s a strong commitment to the people who keep our sites running,” Mr Taylor said.

“Every aspect of MinRes Air — from roster planning to fleet optimisation – is developed to support the unique needs of MinRes and its workforce.”

All pilots, engineers, ground staff and cabin crew at MinRes Air are directly employed by MinRes, this ensures the fully integrated team align not only with company values but also operational priorities.

The dedicated MinRes Air terminals in Perth and Ken’s Bore are also directly managed by MinRes and routinely achieve 98-100% punctuality each month.

“Setting benchmarks matters, but meeting those targets continually is the true mark of success,” Mr Taylor said.

“Our people know their journey will be reliable, which means less time waiting, quicker transfers and, importantly, more time at home with their families after a long swing.”

While transporting personnel is the core of MinRes Air operations, the company also delivers urgent freight, including vital equipment and machine parts, directly to key operations. This eliminates the delays associated with road travel, significantly decreasing downtime and maintaining operational momentum at remote sites.

The airline also offers MinRes the flexibility to coordinate and mobilise large-scale evacuations during emergency situations, such as cyclones, reducing the company’s reliance on external carriers.

MinRes Air has also played an instrumental role during emergency situations, such as responding to cyclones or adverse weather events.

“Whether it’s getting essential freight to site or swiftly evacuating staff, MinRes Air gives us capabilities that simply didn’t exist before,” Mr Taylor said.

MinRes continues to expand the coverage of its airline operations to other locations across Australia and enhance its current services.
