Alcoa to boost Australia’s gallium supply Alcoa (ASX: AAI) has confirmed a joint development agreement (JDA) with Japan Australia Gallium Associates (JAGA) to explore the feasibility of a gallium project in WA. The project will be co-located at one of Alcoa’s operating alumina refineries. The facility began operation more than a decade ago, operating a small 12-person team and a single reused bearing block. AusQuest commence major drilling program at Balladonia AusQuest (ASX: AQD) has announced the commencement of its drilling program at the Balladonia project located in the Fraser region of WA. The program targets a range of metals including copper, lead, zinc and silver. The drilling program is expected to take six weeks to complete. Initial assays are expected from late May to early June this year.
