The one-stop destination for Australia’s mining sector

The one-stop destination for Australia’s mining sector

Established in Australia in 1983, JLG is a market leading supplier of access equipment. JLG operates nationwide with six branches across the country in Sydney, Brisbane, Port Macquarie, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth, and one branch also in Auckland, New Zealand.

With more than 100 workshop staff and 75 field service vehicles on the road, the company is currently broadening its reach and product offering with telehandlers, mini and articulated dumpers, rough terrain forklifts and a newly expanded lighting tower range, which are manufactured at its Port Macquarie facility.

JLG Industries Product Manager Arron Cooper says JLG’s ambition is to be a total solutions provider for customers.

“From new machinery across a range of industries, service, spare parts or application-specific solutions, we want our customers to know they can come to us for total support,” he said.

Even better support for customers

JLG has launched many new product lines recently and is rolling out further expansion over the next 12-18 months. Customers enjoy greater convenience, more product choices and benefit from a trusted partner that continues to evolve with industry standards.

Hot on the heels of JLG’s acquisition of the premium AUSA product range, its aim to become the ‘total solution provider’ is gaining strong momentum.

AUSA products have been available in Australia and New Zealand for nearly three decades, but this is the first time the product has been offered by a direct-to-market OEM. Adding AUSA’s industry-leading dumpers and rough-terrain forklifts enables JLG to be an integral part of the construction cycle, from ground-breaking to finished builds.

“The new AUSA equipment is a gamechanger for our customers, particularly in the mining space,” Mr Cooper said.

“With our range of solutions, we have got you covered for every type of project, regardless of job size, required tools or back-up.”

Re-introducing the JLG Telehandler range

With extended reach and lift height, and a range of capabilities and attachments, the all-new range of US-built JLG Telehandlers is designed with an expansive range of features to withstand the toughest conditions and tackle every job with ease.

This move allows JLG to provide greater support to a wider range of industries, including civil construction, landscaping and mining projects.

Offering even more lighting solutions

The SSL Lighting Tower range, designed and built right here in Australia, is the reliable, easy-to-transport solution for when streetlights go down or accessways require extra lighting. Reaching up to 5m in height, and being solar powered, the SSL can literally be used anywhere.

JLG has also made significant strides in expanding its hybrid lighting tower offerings, giving customers a greener choice across multiple product lines.

The Australian-designed and manufactured Metro-HYBRID Lighting Tower uses the same chassis and mast as developed for the Metro-LED lighting tower. JLG’s Metro-HYBRID is designed to operate efficiently in either Hybrid or conventional DC-Gen modes, in the tough conditions of construction sites.

JLG also provides a refurbishment service that converts existing diesel JLG lighting towers into hybrid units. This gives customers the flexibility to upgrade their existing assets to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact without the need for a full new lighting tower replacement.

Expert support, direct from JLG’s team

JLG is continuing to invest heavily in aftermarket support, expanding its team of in-house technicians and field service mechanics across capital cities and regional areas. Unlike other brands that rely on third-party service providers, JLG employs its own experts to ensure customers receive the highest level of support.

“We’re as people-focused as we are results-driven,” Mr Cooper said.

“Having a strong team of skilled people is just as important as having the right equipment.

“We’re committed to making sure our customers get the best service possible, whether it’s maintenance, spare parts or technical support.”

A one-stop-shop

“Our core customers operating in the mining industry now benefit from access to even more great products, backed by the industry-renowned JLG support network,” Mr Cooper said.

“Customers enjoy the reassurance and efficiency of having just the one supplier that’s able to manage more of their favourite premium products, to satisfy their customers and get the job done!

“We want to be easy to do business with, and make our customers lives easier as a result.

“By expanding our range and strengthening our service capabilities, we’re making sure our customers can rely on JLG as their total solutions provider.”
