Queensland coal exports boosted by sustainable energy deal Cleanco, a Queensland Government-owned energy provider, has made a deal with rail freight operator Aurizon to deliver affordable and reliable renewable energy to the state’s coal export industry. Aurizon operates Australia’s largest electrified rail freight system, the Central Queensland coal network (CQCN), and by securing renewable energy from CleanCo it can continue operating this critical infrastructure for export industries and local communities, while lowering emissions. Under the deal, CleanCo will supply Aurizon with renewable energy from the MacIntyre wind farm in the Western Downs, the Kaban wind farm in Far North Queensland and the Woolooga solar farm north of Brisbane. Bellevue Gold’s record breaking Q4 Bellevue Gold (ASX: BGL) has delivered record throughput rates during the June quarter following improvements at its processing plant in the Goldfields region of WA. Gold production increased substantially for Q4 FY25 with 38,941oz and gold sold totalling 38,754oz at an average realised price of $5147/oz and an all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of $2253/oz. The company processed a record 287,000t at 4.5g/t of gold at 94.4% recovery, of which, 111,000t was processed at 5.4g/t of gold at 95% recovery for the month of June alone.
