Liebherr-Australia celebrated 100,000 hydraulic hose assemblies manufactured in its Adelaide-based Head Office complex in September, a milestone that represents the growth and success of the new facility since it was commissioned in 2014. Situated in the 12,000m2 state-of-the-art National Distribution Centre, the workshop manufactures around 17,000 high-pressure hydraulic hose assemblies each year for the entire Liebherr Mining range of excavators and dozers. The hoses are both assembled and tested in the facility to stringent OEM and international standards, including MDG 41 and ISO 9001. Although this milestone represents the hoses manufactured in the new facility, hose production for Liebherr started in Australia in 1999, with mass production in 2006. After completing the required heritage clearance survey, and securing a reverse circulation (RC) drill rig for its maiden drill program at its Mt Maitland high-grade gold project in Western Australia, Red Mountain Mining Limited (ASX: RMX) is set to start drilling. The drilling program is planned for 18 holes for approximately 1300m and is scheduled to commence in the first week of November. Historical mining delivered an average production grade of 19 g/t gold and the company expects there could be early stage share price catalysts on the horizon should the program go well. Galileo Mining Ltd (ASX: GAL) has announced promising assay results following recent diamond drilling at the company’s Lantern prospect in the Fraser Range Nickel Belt of Western Australia. The results are a step change in GAL’s understanding of the mineralisation; an early confirmation of a section of primary massive sulphide with high levels of nickel, copper and cobalt. In September, data was released regarding diamond drilling intersections of nickel copper sulphides.
