From data capture to decisive action

How integrated mine management technology is reshaping operational performance
For mining operations generating significant volumes of operational data, the critical question is no longer whether to digitalise, but whether existing systems are sufficiently integrated to convert that data into timely, reliable decisions.

Across the mining sector, a structural gap persists between data capture and operational decision-making. Shift records are logged, sensors are running and management systems are generating output, yet in many operations that information does not reach the people responsible for acting on it in time to matter.
Reconciliation occurs at month-end rather than shift-end. Variances surface only after they have compounded into measurable losses. The technology infrastructure meant to close this gap has, in many cases, widened it, layering disconnected point solutions on top of each other and producing volume without clarity.
Syncromine, Mineware Consulting’s integrated mine management platform, consolidates production control, ore accounting, safety management, shift planning and equipment control into a single, web-based system, accessible from any device at any level of the organisation. The operational effect is direct: when every discipline draws from one data architecture, the entire operation works from a single, consistent source of truth.
Short-interval control
Syncromine’s short-interval control capability tracks production performance against plan continuously throughout every shift, surfacing deviations in real time rather than at shift-end.
In open-pit operations, dispatch and payload data feed automatically into SIC dashboards, allowing supervisors to reposition fleet, adjust haul routes and address bottlenecks while correction is still possible. In underground environments, development metres, stope production, LHD loading times and hoisting performance are monitored across all active headings simultaneously, with the control room maintaining live visibility of equipment allocation and output at every working area.
Digital shift handovers replace verbal briefings with formally captured, immediately accessible exception data, closing the accountability gap between shifts.
Ore accounting
Syncromine’s Ore Accounting module provides end-to-end traceability of ore movement from source to plant. Direct integration with SCADA systems logs belt readings and flow meter data automatically, enabling continuous real-time process monitoring. Where instrumentation is unavailable, data is captured manually through the same interface, maintaining an unbroken audit trail. Survey data and stockpile movements feed directly into production KPIs, tightening reconciliation at every transfer point.
Mineware’s first Australian deployment places this capability at Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory, where Syncromine’s Ore Accounting module is live across a complex, multi-pit gold operation. The requirement was a system that could deliver rigour and real-time traceability from the first day of production. Syncromine was selected to provide it.
Mineware Consulting is a member of the Datamine Group, enabling local support for peace of mind. Syncromine is in active use across gold, platinum, and base metals operations in Africa and Australia.
