Yandal Resources acquires rights to key gold structure in WA Yandal Resources (ASX:YRL) has acquired the rights to a key tenement to the immediate south of the Gordons project in WA. The tenement, E27/701, was acquired following the initial phase one results of a 3D geological modelling and targeting exercise completed by independent consultant Ben McCormack from Outlier Geoscience. Malabar Resources has welcomed the decision by the NSW Independent Planning Commission (IPC) to approve the Maxwell Underground Project near Muswellbrook in the NSW’s Upper Hunter. The determination follows the project’s comprehensive and technical review by independent experts and rigorous assessment by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (Department). The Department in its whole-of-government assessment report concluded that the Maxwell Underground Project was “in the public interest” and “approvable”. The project also underwent significant community consultation and engagement, including through the public exhibition of the project’s Environmental Impact Statement in September 2019 and a public hearing facilitated by the IPC in November 2020. LOCAL junior explorers have received some financial respite after $7.2 million was distributed to 61 drilling and prospecting projects in WA. The State Government’s cash injection was part of the latest round of grants under the Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS) aimed at supporting juniors struggling for investment. The program provides funding for up to 50 per cent of direct drilling costs, capped at $150,000 for a multi-hole project; up to $400,000 for a single deep hole, depending on the mineral; and $30,000 for prospecting projects.
