WITH more than 34 years of experience, Rapid Crushing and Screening Contractors is a leading provider of crushing and screening services to clients in the civil contracting, mining and resources industries.
WA owned, the company specialises in the crushing and screening of all types of mineral ores including iron ore, gold, nickel and special class site preparation fill materials, as well as concrete and road aggregates, roadbase, rail ballast and armour
rock.
Rapid has created a wide range of high production mobile and fixed crushing circuits, ranging from modular and mobile plants with capacities of up to 600 tonnes per hour, and fixed plants of capacities of up to 1000t/h.
With a modern head office and workshop facility in Maddington, WA, the company ensures the growth of its operations in a timely and efficient manner, without relying on outsourced facilities and manpower.
Rapid’s operations continue to expand, with specialised crushing and screening services provided on sites operated by Woodside, Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Moly Metals Australia, Gindalbie Metals (Karara iron ore
project) and Chevron.
The company recently acquired more than two hectares of industrial land in Mackay, Queensland, and is making arrangements for the construction of an office and workshop facility on the site. This facility will become a permanent, autonomous base from which the company will continue to provide excellent crushing and
screening services into Queensland and the surrounding regions. Rapid has begund the procurement and delivery of a designated fleet of custom-designed mobile and fixed crushing and screening circuits for the
operation.
The company’s most recent longer-term operations include: a five-year direct shipping ore (DSO) iron ore project for Moly Metals Australia at its Spinifex Ridge project in the Pilbara; a four-year DSO iron ore crushing project for Brierty Limited at the Karara project in WA’s Mid West; crushing and screening of specialised construction materials on Barrow Island, associated with the site preparation works for Chevron’s
Gorgon LNG Project; and crushing and screening of specialised construction materials for contracts associated with the site preparation works for Rio Tinto Iron Ore’s Cape Lambert Port Expansion Project.
