MINEGLOW is improving the safety of mining, industrial and tunnelling projects across Australasia with its superior range of tailored lighting solutions.

The company’s LED strip lighting products are used to help ensure safe working environments by providing a complete flood of light from floor to ceiling, in often hard to reach locations.

Mineglow general manager Carinne Pater said the company is passionate about providing safe, robust and durable solutions that significantly reduce preventable incidents.

“Protecting people at work is our number one priority,” she said.

“Poor lighting can severely impact people’s ability to identify hazards and we’re committed to removing that risk for our customers no matter what type of environment they work in.

“Our product range is designed to weather harsh conditions, whether they’re placed in high ambient temperatures, or exposed to moisture or even explosives.

“Our lighting systems are guaranteed to deliver ultimate efficiency, longevity and reliability.”

Mineglow backs up these claims by guaranteeing its products are 100pc waterproof, flame-retardant, have an impact and shock-resistant outer shell, and are installed with a power supply on both ends to ensure continuity — even if an end is severed or one power supply fails.

Mineglow has recently introduced its IECEX Explosion-Proof Strip Lighting range.

These incredibly durable and versatile lights are purpose-made for potentially explosive and hazardous areas, making them perfect for coal mines and other hazardous mining environments, as well as in the oil and gas industries.

The product is a flexible strip light fully encapsulated with silicone.

It has excellent anti-UV performance and operates at a low/high temperature, and it is certified to be used in gas zones 0, 1 and 2, and dust zones 20, 21 and 22 in accordance with the ATEX European standard and the IEC EX international regulations, and is available in 24, 36 and 48-volt AC or DC.

With injection moulded connectors to acheive IP67 water ingress protection, its flexibility enables varied installation options, and can be installed in continuous lengths between 15m to 40m.

Ms Pater said that Mineglow’s popular X-Glo range is a safe alternative to complex lighting infrastructures that is available in 12V, 24V and 36V (AC and DC) as well as standard and long-range lengths of up to 168m.

“We’re confident that our products are at the forefront of the lighting industry,” Ms Pater said.

“With a multitude of superior features, unlike any others in our market, we’re able to provide our customers with a higher-value, cost-effective lighting solution as well as an expected life span of up to 10 years.”

Mineglow’s lighting solutions are fully certified for Australian and international standards and have been implemented by some of Australia’s leading mining companies such as Glencore, Rio Tinto, BHP, Vale, Anglo American, South 32, Centennial Coal, MMG, Newcrest, Oz Minerals, Evolution Mining, and more.
