Barminco secures $180m contract extension

Sandvik secures multi-million-dollar contract with Evolution Sandvik has received a major underground equipment order for deployment at Evolution Mining’s (ASX: EVN) Cowal gold operations in NSW.The order is valued at about $68m and was booked in the fourth quarter of 2025, for the delivery of underground trucks, loaders and drill rigs expected to begin mid-2026 and continue into 2027.In addition to the equipment order, Sandvik will also supply a range of digital solutions, rock tools and consumables, as well as parts, components and related services to support ongoing underground operations.Sandvik mining president Mats Eriksson comments on the deal.“We are pleased to strengthen our relationship with Redpath through this contract, which reflects continued confidence in our underground equipment solutions, and our ability to support productivity, safety and sustainability in complex underground mining operations,” he said.Evolution’s gold operations are a long-life project which comprises both open pit and underground mining operations.

Pan African Resources will consolidate its ownership of the Tenant Creek project in the Northern Territory as part of an all-share acquisition of Emmerson Resources (ASX: ERM).The companies have signed a scheme implementation deed that will see Emmerson shareholders gain 0.1493 shares of Pan African in the form of ASX-listed chess depositary interests for each share they hold — implying an offer price of $.45 for each Emmerson share.The Emmerson Board has unanimously recommended that shareholders vote in favour of the scheme.Emmerson chairman Mark Connelly says the transaction will deliver immediate value to shareholders.“This combination with our trusted joint venture partner represents a highly compelling and strategically logical consolidation of our Tennant Creek tenement package,” he said.“We are excited about the future prospects of the combined group and the enhanced opportunities it will create for Emmerson shareholders.”Pan African is a growing gold producer with a portfolio of operations across South Africa and Australia. WA-based company SRG Global (ASX: SRG) has secured major contracts with blue-chip clients across a range of sectors including water, defence and transport, energy, industrial and resources and health and education.

Monadelphous (ASX: MND) has been awarded new contracts and contract extensions with Rio Tinto, BHP, Queensland Alumina and Harmony Gold.The contract with Rio will see the engineering company undertaking fabrication, supply, installation and commissioning of a new dust collector and ventilation system for the coarse ore stockpile tunnels at Paraburdoo iron ore mine in WA.Work is expected to be completed in Q1 CY27.Monadelphous has also been awarded a two-year extension to its existing maintenance services contract at BHP’s Olympic Dam operations in South Australia. The extension includes mechanical and electrical maintenance, shutdown works and project services.At Queensland Alumina’s operations in Gladstone, Monadelphous has secured a two-year extension for the provision of mechanical maintenance and shutdown services. The scope of the contract has been expanded to include demolition and power generation work.Monadelphous has also secured work with Harmony Gold on the construction of a cyclone dewatering plant and associated pipeline at Hidden Valley gold mine in Papua New Guinea.
