The company achieved the milestone in mid-June as part of the commissioning of the Coyote Processing Plant in WA, which it leases from Tanami Gold. Utilising the existing plant, 77km from the deposit, significantly reduced the company’s capital expenditure requirements while reducing construction and commissioning risks. The study showed the company’s project could return an EDITDA of US$623.8 million across 20 years, supporting an estimated net present value of US $201.4 million. Assays received from two diamond holes completed at the Roundabout and Spyall targets, within the wholly-owned Hummocks tenements, demonstrated assays of up to 0.23g/t gold within a 37m interval of anomalous gold at the bottom of the Roundabout hole, as well as 215 parts per million of copper at Spyall. The iron ore company, which holds a suit of tenements in the state’s Mid West region, including the Karara joint venture, nominated part of the 113,600 hectare Badja Station as a candidate site to store “intermediate level waste” and “low level waste created largely as a result of medical and other scientific procedures”.
