Antipa Minerals outlines Paterson and Wilki FY24 exploration programs

Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY) has outlined the planned FY24 exploration programs for the Paterson and Wilki farm-in projects.

Managing director Roger Mason is excited for work to be underway.

“We are excited to have multiple drill rigs turning across all four of Antipa’s Paterson Province projects during the second half of this calendar year, with our partners Rio Tinto, IGO and Newcrest aiming to complete a total of approximately 13,000m of drilling as part of the three combined $8.6m FY24 exploration programs,” he said.

“All drilling programs, are heavily focused on growth, testing a range of compelling targets offering the potential for multiple major gold-copper discoveries.”

Paterson

Operated by IGO, up to 9000m of drilling is planned for Paterson to test high-priority gold-copper targets generated by regional style exploration activities undertaken over the past three years.

Drilling will test two intrusion-related analogue magnetic targets, co-incident magnetic gravity high analogue targets, an airborne electromagnetic conductivity target and high-priority geophysical and geochemical targets.

Planned FY24 exploration at Paterson is budgeted for $4.2m with drilling scheduled to begin in August.

Target generation activities at Paterson are continuing and include large-scale hydrochemistry sampling, geological mapping, an induced polarisation geophysical survey, data modelling, target generation and project scale interpretation.

Wilki

FY24 drilling at Wilki will comprise of around 2300m of reverse circulation drilling and will be operated and funded by Newcrest as part of the existing $60m farm-in agreement.

Target generation activities will be undertaken in conjunction with the drilling and include a gravity gradiometer geophysical survey, a soil geochemical sampling program, project scale interpretation, data modelling and target generation.
