Brightstar Resources reports visible gold

Drilling at the Yunndaga deposit is expected to be included in mineral resource estimate upgrade and declaration of maiden underground ore reserves targeted for late CY25.

Brightstar Resources (ASX: BTR) has received results from a reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling program targeting infill and extensional resource drilling at the Yunndaga deposit.

The drilling program has presented visible gold intersected in three separate diamond drill holes, with tests pending and has returned further significant RC intercepts such as 8m at 6.67g/t gold from 245m (YNRC2053) and 4m at 6.73g/t gold from 46m (YNCR25056).

The Yunndaga deposit provides a current resource of 3.4mt at 1.4g/t gold for 156koz.

It is located within the .6moz at 1.4g/t Menzies gold project.

The results confirm the presence of high-grade mineralisation in typical Menzies-style lodes, with nuggety high-grades and classic pinch-and-swell morphology.

This highlights the potential of Yunndaga to accommodate a substantial, high-grade underground mining operation according to Brightstar.

Brightstar geology general manager Jonathan Gough comments on the project results.

“Drill results from Yunndaga continue to cement our confidence in the deposit and the broader Menzies gold project,” he said.

“Assays from the RC component of the drilling have produced a number of high-grade intercepts, and the ongoing diamond program has intersected several zones of visible gold across multiple holes.

“This is obviously extremely exciting with Brightstar eagerly awaiting assays from these holes.

“The diamond drilling will also provide important geotechnical and metallurgical information, further de-risking a future mining operation as we progress Yunndaga towards development

“The RC and diamond drill rigs will both shortly be mobilising to the Sandstone Hub to restart our exploration programs there.”

The drilling program aimed to infill areas of the mineral resource estimate that fall within or adjacent to optimised stope shapes recently released in the definitive feasibility study (DFS), and test for down-dip extensions to known mineralisation.

The 6400m Phase 2 RC and diamond drill program aimed to infill the currently defined optimised stope shapes, target growth of potential mining inventory and support declaration of ore reserves late in CY25.
