More than 10,000g/t gold identified in veins at Titan

Visible high-grade gold has been reported in veins at the Titan prospect in WA, with multiple holes recording more than 10,000g/t gold.

Titan, which is part of Artemis Resources’ (ASX: ARV) Karratha gold project, was subject to a work program designed to map the prospective surface veins and identify additional fertile structures that may contain gold and copper mineralisation.

Not only did the ground team identify and trace several large-scale vein trends, but it also successfully identified a vein zone with abundant coarse visible gold at Titan.

Rock chip samples were collected from Titan and sent to the ALS laboratory in Perth with more than 10,000g/t gold identified in three holes.

Additionally, hole 24AR07-002 identified 6520g/t gold while up to 23.8% copper was identified in hole 24AR07-184.

Artemis executive director George Ventouras says the company is excited by the gold prospectivity at Titan.

“The re-focus of exploration efforts and strategy on a tenement wide scale is continuing to deliver evidence of multiple new zones for gold mineralisation, which we believe could contain the potential for large scale deposits,” he said.

“The next steps will allow us to refine these zones, delineate bona-fide prospects and work towards more targeted exploration efforts.”

Furthermore, with the 300kg of material removed, sorted, crushed and separated from Titan, a 10.4oz gold bar was produced.

Titan’s 700m strike remains open and Artemis believes the prospect is not a sole occurrence but is instead part of a larger gold mineralised system.
