Sandvik has received a major underground equipment order for deployment at Evolution Mining’s (ASX: EVN) Cowal gold operations in NSW.

The MOU supports Metallium’s plan to develop a national network of e-waste processing facilities, strategically located near major e-waste collection hubs, rapidly expanding U.S. data centre industrial parks and regional industrial corridors with strong logistics and waste generation.

Liontown’s $226m Kathleen Valley ramp-up Liontown Resources (ASX: LTR) has launched a full underwritten institutional placement to support the underground transition at its Kathleen Valley lithium mine in WA. Underground production began at the site in April and, following the ramp-up, full scale underground operations are expected by September 2026. AMEC calls for action amid exploration decline The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released its Q1 CY25 mineral and exploration statistics which has highlighted a decline in exploration activity across the country. The data shows an 18.4% decrease in total exploration from the Q4 CY24, representing $181m decline in exploration expenditure. Year-on-year this shows an 11.5% drop or $105m decrease. There was a 21.9% drop in new exploration drilling and there was a 11.6% decline in total metres drilled.
