Two high grade gold clusters identified at Windanya

Two distinct clusters of exceptionally high-grade gold have been identified within Dundas Minerals’ (ASX:DUN) Windanya gold project in WA.

Between 478 parts per billion (ppm) and 696ppb gold was identified with most of the anomalous gold values located in the Aquarius anomaly and the Scorpio prospect.

At the Aquarius anomaly, seven sampling lines were completed with a peak of 696ppb gold encountered. Other results include 493ppb gold, 483ppb gold and 478ppb gold.

Based on these results, Dundas has defined Aquarius as a compelling gold exploration target which has had no record of historical drilling. While five air-core holes and one reverse circulation hole were drilled in 2021, these were completed 360m north of the area of peak gold values.

At Scorpio, 24 auger samples were taken with 14 returning gold values of 100ppb or higher with a peak of 530ppb. The gold anomalism at Scorpio spans around 8ha.

Previous drilling close to the area focused on an area 300m northwest of the gold anomaly identified by Dundas. At this location 12 air-core holes and six shallow reverse circulation holes were drilled.

Similar to Aquarius, the results from the Scorpio auger sampling represent the prospect as a compelling gold exploration target.

In addition to the anomalous gold values at Aquarius and Scorpio, two smaller and lower samples, between 50ppb gold and 239ppb gold, were returned from the Gemini prospect.

Previous drilling at Gemini consisted of six air-core and four reverse circulation holes, however, these new anomalous gold zones are to the northeast and southwest of this drilling.

Dundas is now developing a first pass drilling program for the Windanya project which will be submitted for approvals once finalised. A start date for this drilling will be advised once known.
