UGL, a member of CIMIC, is continuing its partnership with ARRA Group, a majority Indigenous managed, owned and controlled company based in WA.

Since 2018, ARRA Group has been a valued supplier within the UGL supply chain, supporting the growth and development of both companies.

ARRA Group specialises in training, recruiting and placing individuals in roles that benefit both the employers and employees.

Its commitment to creating opportunities for Indigenous communities aligns with UGL’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

Launched in June 2022, the RAP serves as an opportunity to further focus UGL’s reconciliation efforts on expanding partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations.

The RAP focuses on increasing the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees within company and creating sustainable relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in which UGL operates.

The partnership involves ARRA Group providing UGL with electrical and mechanical apprenticeship and trade assistant roles in WA’s resources, manufacturing and maintenance lines of the business.

Over the course of the contract, the partnership aims to onboard over 50 apprentices, significantly contributing to workforce development and community engagement.
