WesTrac customers are getting the chance to test drive two new Cat compact track loaders at the CTL Roadshow in WA, NSW and the Australian Capital Territory.

First launched at the National Diesel Dirt and Turf Conference in Sydney earlier in the year, the Cat 255 and 265 compact track loaders are the first next generation compact track loaders to hit the market.

These two new models will be replacing the Cat 259D3, 279D3 and 289D3 machines and build on the success of the D3 series by offering customer-driven enhancements and the latest industry-first features.

The new Cat 255 and 265 compact track loaders have improved engine performance and stability, higher lift and break-out ability and greater operator comfort.

Upgraded engines in both machines maintain horsepower across a wider RPM range and significant torque increases, including gains of up to 43% over previous models, resulting in improved working performance.

Additionally, the redesigned engine compartment mounts the engine and cooling package lower into the frame for improved stability.

Both the Cat 225 and 265 compact track loaders incorporate cutting-edge technology by Caterpillar, which provides greater fleet management control.

Through cloud-based software VisionLink, companies and operators can track machine hours, location, asset utilisation and fault codes while delivering advanced monitoring, analytics and information on machine health.

Depending on the technology package selected, the loaders can be equipped with either standard or advanced monitors. Both monitors contain Bluetooth connectivity, functionality for rearview camera feed, creep, job clock and maintenance reminders across 32 languages.

The monitor also provides a higher level of control, delivering on-joystick radio control and supporting a 270° multicamera.

Both loaders will be available to test drive at the WesTrac CTL Roadshow which is on throughout August and September.
