The organisers of Water in Mining Global Summit, the leading forum for responsible water management in mining, are delighted to be bringing the forum to Perth, Australia 8-9 September 2026.

Water in Mining Australia will offer mining professionals in Australia and the Pacific region the opportunity to take a deep dive into issues such as water management strategy, groundwater and aquifer recharge, tailings, closure and remediation, community engagement and more.

Charity Woodruff, head of content for Water in Mining said: “Delegates from Australia and the Pacific region have been attending in Water in Mining’s Global Summit for many years, and telling us clearly how much they value the opportunity to share ideas and insights at a global level. They have also told us that there are issues specific to their region which would benefit from a deeper dive.

“Now, we’ve taken the decision to launch this Water in Mining regional chapter, giving us the opportunity to take a focused and technical approach to issues high on the agenda in Australia, such as aquifer recharge. It’s about empowering mining professionals with practical strategies and new cross-sector partnerships that fundamentally change how operations interact with water resources.”

Delegates will have the opportunity to hear from leading mining organisations such as Alcoa, BHP, South 32, Hancock Iron Ore, Newmont, Gold Fields,  and more.

Supported by Event Partner BHP, delegates will also benefit from extended networking opportunities with peers and the chance to meet some of the leading tech and solution providers including Minetek, Dredge Robotics, Ecosafe International, INTERA, Veolia, GHD and more.

The event will bring together over 150 mining professionals, indigenous and community leaders, regulators and policymakers.
