CELEBRATING another achievement, ThyssenKrupp has secured a contract with Kalumbila Minerals, a subsidiary of Canadian-based First Quantum Minerals, to perform primary crushing at the company’s new Sentinel mine in Zambia. The Sentinel copper deposit is located west of Solwezi and is part of the Trident project, which comprises five prospecting licenses covering 2300 square kilometres. Part of Kalumbila’s planned investment rests with ThyssenKrupp, and incorporates three semi-mobile crushing plants, including a suitable transport crawler for crusher plant relocation, at a cost of almost 40 million Euros.
