
Receival and stacking system exceeding expectations
IN a ‘work-with’ relationship with infrastructure provider Qube Ports and Bulk, Perth-based engineering and project management consultant Mintrex delivered the $50 million engineering and procurement of 11 receival and stacking systems (RSS) at Utah Point. Each 900 tonne per hour RSS has a truck unloader for side-tip road trains, a transfer conveyor and a large radial stacker. The layout of each of the 11 RSS was designed by Mintrex to best utilise the available stockyard area regarding stockpile size and product types. Mintrex prepared work packages for the design and construction of the stackers and the design and supply of the truck unloaders.
