    Adaptable. Approachable. Always on point.

In remote mining operations, logistics, labour, and materials necessary for establishing critical infrastructure is no easy feat. You need a partner capable of delivering smart solutions, and one that simply gets the tough jobs done right.

Alpha Mine Site Services & Construction (Alpha) is a privately owned Western Australian company delivering full-spectrum support to the mining and resources sector. With a sharp focus on the construction of Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) and end-to-end mine site services, Alpha has earned a reputation as a go-to partner for remote, multi-faceted operations.

At the core of Alpha’s offering is a deep well of experience — more than 40 years combined in mining, resources, oil and gas — backed by a commitment to quality, safety, and practical, boots-on-ground problem-solving. From concept to commissioning, Alpha offers design, engineering, construction, procurement, and ongoing support services, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.

Alpha Managing Director Matt Olsen highlighted that the company’s capabilities stretch across the entire lifecycle of a project.

“Our design and engineering team delivers smart, efficient solutions tailored to meet site-specific challenges. With in-house project management and construction expertise, we keep projects on track and on budget, no matter how remote or complex.”

Alpha’s procurement model balances the use of owned assets with a reliable supplier network, offering flexibility whether clients need long-term investment or short-term hire.

The company also offers ongoing support through site-wide maintenance and facilities management, helping ensure the performance and longevity of essential infrastructure. Their catering and janitorial teams maintain high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and hygiene, vital in isolated and high-pressure environments.

“Our competitive advantage is the expertise in the design and delivery of mine site villages,” said Olsen.

“Whether it’s a 10-person mobile camp or a 500-person permanent village, we handle it all, from planning and permits to installation and commissioning. We have delivered everything from village refurbishments and relocations to turnkey oil rig camps and new greenfield developments.”

Wyloo’s Kurbilli Village, on the Yangibana Project, is a recent example of Alpha’s ability to provide a complete turnkey package. The scope of works included the design, relocation, installation and refurbishment of the company’s 300-person permanent village. The contract included many challenges with the overall project having limited infrastructure, with internal roads only partially developed at the time, adverse weather conditions, and managing staged handovers to co-ordinate room availability with the construction camp. It is a project that Alpha looks back on with pride.

Alpha has also grown in size as an EPC provider for large NPI projects.

“On the NPI front, we deliver critical infrastructure that keeps mine sites moving,” said Olsen. “This includes everything from our recently commenced Central Control Room on the Perdaman Project down to HV and LV washdown bays, laboratories, dome workshops, and gantry-equipped warehouses, to bulk fuel storage, admin buildings, concrete works, and sitewide utilities like lighting and signage.”

Alpha’s proven track record is clear in projects across Western Australia. In Karratha, Alpha is the EPC contractor for the Central Control Room on the Urea plant. For Hastings Technology Metals, they relocated and refurbished the Kurbilli Village. At Greenbushes, they managed the full relocation and installation of a construction camp for Talison Lithium. For Clough’s Waitsia Gas Project, Alpha handled everything from village leasing to on-site infrastructure. Other major projects include the construction and operation of Fenix Resources’ Iron Ridge village and mine site and the operation of the Shine village, and Kalium Lakes’ Beyondie operations — both involving full camp construction, NPI delivery, and ongoing site services.

What sets Alpha apart is a straightforward, client-focused approach. Every job is treated with care, adaptability, and a no-nonsense attitude. They understand that no two projects are the same and that in the mining industry, time, safety, and reliability are everything.

With a reputation built on trust, delivery, and hands-on execution, Alpha is more than just a contractor — they’re a partner in making remote operations work. Whether you’re breaking ground or scaling up, Alpha is ready to deliver.
