A cultural heritage survey with the Kariyarra Aboriginal Corporation (KAC) has been completed at the Quartz Hill project in the Central Pilbara of WA.

As part of the drilling program, New Age Exploration (ASX:NAE) will target lithium, caesium and tantalum (LCT) pegmatites similar to other deposits in the area. The aim of the drilling is to test below target areas of lithium anomalism detected in soil samples.

New Age executive director Joshua Wellisch says the company is pleased to have completed the survey.

“We are very pleased to have completed the cultural heritage survey at Quartz Hill in preparation for an imminent drill program on the high priority lithium targets,” he said.

“We now have a firm timeline to an imminent drill program at Quartz Hill, focusing on the evaluation of our initial set of high priority LCT targets which is very exciting.

“The completion of our UltraFine+ geochemical soil sampling, along with pending assay results, is set to provide us with a robust stream of targets in the weeks and months ahead, which is a highly promising development.”

In addition to receiving this drilling clearance, New Age Exploration is beginning the third phase of a soil sampling program at the Brahman project in WA. Once received, the soil samples will be geochemically analysed using UltraFine+ methodology.

This program will expand on areas previously tested and work is likely to increase the number of high priority lithium targets at Brahman. High priority targets will be refined and prioritised in the lead up to the upcoming Quartz Hill drill program.
