WORKERS in the mining and resource sectors now have access to a travel management service specifically designed to meet the requirements that accompany working in remote locations. Resource Travel Management (RTM), launched by leading Australian company Corporate Travel Management (CTM), has the knowledge and expertise needed to effectively manage the travel requirements of the mining industry.
RTM’s services include: specialised tools for shift management; pre-trip approval; online booking; traveller assistance; risk and expense management; travel policy development; behavioural analysis; dedicated account management;
charter negotiation; and emergency evacuations.
CTM has been acknowledged by the Australian Federation of Travel Agents with the Best National Corporate Travel Management Company award seven times in the past eight years.
The company has always taken pride in meeting the specialised needs of its clients: it is that pride that led to the launch of RTM.
With more than 30 per cent of its business hailing from the resource sector, CTM managing director Jamie Pherous said the launch of RTM was the next logical step in filling a service gap for its clients in the mining and resources industries.
“It has always been our philosophy to listen to our clients and to tailor solutions that they need,” Mr Pherous said.
“The mining and related industries account for a large and important part of our portfolio, so it was time to put a brand out there that specifically caters to their specialised needs.” Mr Pherous said the creation
of RTM, which packages CTM’s resource-specific products, tools and industry expertise for the market, will see the company lead the way in innovative client solutions.
“We have extensive experience in these industries, from mining and oil and gas, to coal and iron ore in WA and Queensland,” he said.
“We also have offshore experience in Papua New Guinea, the South Pacific and now Africa and Mongolia. “These industries are growing, and they need a lot of assistance because their travel needs are so manual.
That is why I am so passionate to be able to give this industry the skill set, the products and the industry-leading expertise that it needs, and quite frankly deserves, with the launch of RTM.”
More information about RTM is available on the CTM website.
