The company has a long association with the mining industry. A large fleet of ore haulage wagons can provide the means for transporting all types of
minerals, including products ranging from large lump aggregates such as iron ore and coal, to fine products such as mineral sands. CFCLA can modify or even build specially designed wagons to suit the product where necessary through its affiliate company CF Rail Services. Typical variations include bottom discharge hoppers for pit-drop applications, ore boxes (containers) for export applications and kibble transports for road-rail applications.
CFCLA was pleased to be part of the development and start-up phase of Mineral Resources Limited’s (MRL) Carina mine, through the haulage of
iron ore to the Kwinana Port Terminal for export. The company supplied 321 wagons to support MRL’s haulage target of 4.5 million tonnes per annum, which was achieved over the lease term. CFCLA congratulated MRL on this fine
achievement, and wished the company all the best in its next stage of production growth with its own locomotives and new ore wagons.
