FAMILY owned civil construction business See Civil has been servicing the civil construction and mining industry since its establishment in 1988. The business specialises in an extensive range of civil construction and crushing and screening projects, handling contracts valued from under $1 million to major works worth well in excess of $35 million.

It was during the undertaking of such projects that See Civil noticed a recurring problem on sites everywhere when it came to handling bulk materials.

See Civil saw the need for a cost effective and efficient process for transporting, separating and crushing material. In response to this need the company developed a processing plant capable of receiving large volumes of material that could then be easily sorted and distributed. The result was the mobile high production bulk material handling trommel plant package.
The standard configuration for the plant incorporates a large capacity hopper bin and heavy duty apron feeder to supply material to its 3m diameter trammel. Further screening and crushing can then be incorporated to suit almost any mine site to the specifications required for the job.

It takes two days for the trommel plant to be installed and commissioned once initial site earthworks are complete – the plant simply requires a level, compacted pad size of 100m by 100m.

The trommel technology is ideal for sites wanting to improve productivity and lower costs of bulk materials handling. The design of the plant is robust, simple and low maintenance and its mobility reduces the capital expense required for purchasing and commissioning fixed plant, which can render project uneconomical.
The plant has proven to be capable of producing consistent results, including throughput of more than 1500 tonnes per hour.
