Not an automotive supplier
Although supplying light vehicle parts, Autoline have a tongue-in-cheek claim that they “aren’t an automotive supplier.” This is due to their narrow focus on the Australian mining industry, which is unique for a supplier in the category.
Most automotive part suppliers cater to a broad and varied audience of mechanical workshops, commercial outfits and the weekend bush-basher — who all want slightly different things. Autoline keeps it simple, if it works for the Australian mining industry, it works for them.
This laser-focus in the mining industry has seen Autoline become a market leader in the supply of Landcruiser and Hilux parts — which make up the bulk of LVs in the industry.
According to Marketing Manager Jaxon Cawthorne, “Over 90% of our customers are operating within the mining industry — being mine owners, operators, or contractors. So that’s who we tailor our products and service to.”
Parts that last longer
In the mining industry, downtime costs money — so maximising the uptime of assets is crucial. TAKEO is Autoline’s range of parts engineered to do exactly that.
From brakes and suspension to doors and seats — the range covers essentially everything needed to build a Landcruiser or Hilux from scratch. However, the emphasis is on parts which outlast the rest on the market, including the OEMs.
With a large client base in the underground mining niche, TAKEO parts are constantly being tested in the harshest driving conditions on planet Earth. It’s this feedback loop that fuels constant R&D.
TAKEO parts consist of longer lasting CV joints, swivel housing kits, radiators and engine bay components. Most notably, a coated engine sump producing a 400% increased lifespan compared to the OEM component.
Parts when and where you need them
Autoline’s branches in Kalgoorlie, Perth, Mt Isa, and Adelaide strategically position them to supply Australia’s mining hotspots. But just having a physical presence isn’t enough. What really matters is holding stock of the right parts, in the right areas.
In the last twelve months Autoline has placed a huge emphasis on strengthening their supply chains and internal logistics. This effort has netted great results, with increased DIFOT and fill rate measures — continuing to improve monthly.
This year they plan to roll out a dispatch promise, ensuring same-day dispatch of stocked lines, or the client receives a rebate on the purchase. While the details are yet to be ironed out, it’s clear that Autoline is a customer-first supplier, and are ready to put their neck on the line to prove it.
