American Rare Earths (ASX:ARR) has completed its 38-hole, 5,726m drilling program at its Halleck Creek rare earths project in Albany County, Wyoming, USA, and says it is closer to defining a substantial maiden JORC resource. The company drilled to a depth of 150m. This was a 50% increase over and above the 100m depth drilled for the maiden drill campaign and was not included in the exploration targets announced last year. The previous JORC compliant Exploration Target estimate outlined between 1.01 and 1.27 Billion Tonnes of Rare Earth mineralised rocks with TREO grades ranging between 2,245 ppm and 2,807 ppm. Oar Resources Limited (ASX: OAR) (“OAR” or “the Company”) has applied for five additional tenements surrounding its three already granted tenements at the Denchi Lithium Project near Wiluna in Western Australia’s Northern Goldfields. The new tenements cover 784.3km2 across 253 blocks, expanding the existing project area to a total 1004.4km2. The applications follow field reconnaissance in early December 2022 which identified a number of potential lithium bearing pegmatites outcropping within granites previously mapped by the Geological Survey of Western Australia. Black Dragon Gold (ASX: BDG) has identified gold in soil anomalies at its wholly-owned Padbury Gold Project near Meekatharra in Western Australia. The soil program, consisting of 541 new samples, tested using the innovative CSIRO Ultrafine technique and is the first significant gold exploration program at the project beyond traditional surface prospecting activity. This work identified several targets over a regional 8km gold trend, parallel with a regional WNW-ESE striking structural geological architecture and coincident with prospecting activity where numerous gold nuggets and gold in quartz have been identified in surface quartz lag deposits. Australia’s AuTECO Minerals (ASX:AUT) has drilled its highest-grade intersection to date of 1,020g/t gold over 0.4 metres at its Pickle Crow gold project in Ontario, Canada. The results come from step-out drilling at the Tyson discovery, which has significantly expanded the known extent of the high-grade vein system, with mineralisation intersected ~200m below previous drilling. AuTECO also revealed in today’s announcement drilling to test extensions to the Vein 5 vein structure, which has historically produced more than 200,000 ounces of gold, has successfully demonstrated the vein continues along strike beyond the extents of historical mining. Australian manganese explorer, Black Canyon Limited (ASX:BCA), has announced results from the recent reverse circulation (RC) drill program at the Flanagan Bore Manganese Project. Systematic drilling along a 2,000m long target located between the FB3 and LR1 deposits discovered significant zones of manganese mineralisation. Black Canyon said there was high-potential to expand the global Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) at Flanagan Bore beyond the current 104Mt @ 10.5% Mn (Indicated) containing 11Mt of manganese. Applications are now open for the first round of a new fund set to turbocharge the critical minerals and high-tech metals sector and position regional NSW as a major global supplier. Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW Paul Toole said the Critical Minerals and High-Tech Metals Activation Fund would help diversify and accelerate mining projects in regional NSW.
