Keech Bendigo’ 90-Year Legacy Leading the G.E.T Market and Beyond

The Derwent Industries – Keech Bendigo business unit represents 90 years of excellence in Australian manufacturing, rooted in the rich heritage of our Bendigo foundry. The legacy has established us as a leader in the Ground Engaging Tools (G.E.T) market, both domestically and internationally, with a reputation for innovation, expertise, and superior craftsmanship.

As the only 100% Australian-owned and operated G.E.T manufacturer, we produce our entire range at the Keech facility in Bendigo, Victoria. By maintaining all production in-house, we ensure stringent quality control and support Australian industry, avoiding reliance on offshore imports.

Our latest innovation, the FEENX range, is a testament to this history. Developed over two years, it combines advanced technology with nearly a century of operational expertise, ensuring exceptional performance and reliability. Blackwoods and Derwent Industries collaborate on FEENX Trials, Delivering 25% Longer Life Blackwoods has been involved in the trials of the new FEENX – Underground GET, which is manufactured by Derwent Industries at the KEECH facility in Bendigo Blackwoods National Category Manager Charles Roest says the trials of the new range showed a 25% increase in the life expectancy over other products currently operating in the Australian market.

This 90-year legacy at Keech, combined with 92 years at Mackay Rubber and over 180 years at Derwent Foundry in Tasmania, forms a foundation of over 300 years of collective manufacturing excellence. These milestones highlight our commitment to shaping the future of Australian manufacturing while honoring traditions that define our reputation.
