CMS is a proudly Australian-owned company that for 20 years has been supporting global construction and mining companies to develop the infrastructure of the future.

Last year CMS Asia Pacific was formed from the merger of three industry-leading businesses – Coal Mine Services, Civil Mine Services and NPG Electrical. This strategic integration has brought together decades of expertise and a broad spectrum of capabilities, allowing the business to now offer an expanded range of services under the banners CMS Mining, CMS Civil and CMS Power.

The Mining and Civil businesses have some powerful experience, having worked on projects like Westconnex Sydney, Sydney Metro, Cross River Rail in Brisbane and City Rail Link Auckland and partnering with the likes of CPB,?John Holland, Abergeldie, Theiss, BHP, Glencore, Yancoal, Anglo American, Fitzroy Australia and Centennial Coal.

In the electrical space CMS Power has carved out an enviable reputation as experts in flameproof electrical services, and the manufacture and overhaul of underground and open-cut mining equipment. The business has provided specialist services to a range of organisations including the Bloomfield Group, Peabody Energy, Abergeldie, SANDVIK and AMP Control.

The Power team can provide full service, end-to-end solutions for mining and civil equipment maintenance and overhauls, with the capability to provide onsite 1000V and 415V function testing, as well as mechanical repairs to all 1000V and 415V fixed, mobile and diesel equipment.

Founder and CEO Steve Brownell said while there had been some exciting developments in the business recently, his focus on developing innovative new technologies to enhance industry had also been taking shape.

“We have recruited some extremely clever experts into our team in the past 6 months and they have been working on innovations that will be game changers in our industry,” Steve said.

“We are committed to investing in research and development of technologies that will revolutionise the way people work, and we expect to have some new products to market in the next few months. Watch this space.”

Steve added CMS APAC product and service development would see it continue to work with partners in New Zealand, Indonesia, South Africa, Poland, India, South America and Europe.
